Functions of the Division

The functions of the division are to undertake negotiations with the United Nations (UN) system’s agencies and affiliated organisations, Inter-Governmental Organisations and with international and national NGOs and to mobilise, co-ordinate and direct technical and financial assistance.

The division is having two subdivisions, namely the UN System and Affiliated Organisations Sub-Division and the Inter-Governmental Organisations and NGOs Sub-Division.

UN System and Affiliated Organisations Sub-Division

The functions of the Sub-Division are to update the UN System and Affiliated Organisations on socio-economic developments and resources requirements and priorities of Government of Namibia. It liaises with offices, line Ministries, UN System and Affiliated Organisations, private sectors and monitor the implementation and utilisation of external resources. The sub-Division also maintains profiles of UN System and Affiliated Organisations and liaises with the relevant NPC sub-divisions. For specific information, please contact Mr C. Inter-Governmental Organisations and NGOs Sub-Division

The functions of the Sub-Division are to update the Inter-Governmental Organisations and International and National NGOs on socio-economic developments and resources requirements and priorities of Government of Namibia. It liaises with offices, line Ministries, Inter-Governmental Organisations and International and National NGOs, private sectors and monitor the implementation and utilisation of external resources. The sub-Division also maintains profiles of Inter-Governmental Organisations and International and National NGOs and liaises with the relevant NPC sub-divisions.
